PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus 26 certainly packaging an article to be packaged. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus 26 includes: a stage 30 on which the article 6 to be packaged is placed; a cartridge 32 containing a packaging material 4; a ring member 36 which holds the cartridge 32 to allow it to rotate and can rotate around the article 6; and a lifting unit 38 which can move up and down the ring member 36. When the article 6 is packaged with the packaging material 4, the center of the article 6 may align the center of the ring member 36. In the packaging apparatus 26, the packaging material 4 is wrapped around the article 6 without distorting the packaging material 4, regardless of the size of the article 6.
