<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field equipment diagnosis apparatus that can automatically control the operation status of periodically operated diagnosis applications in accordance with a plant operation schedule. <P>SOLUTION: The field equipment diagnosis apparatus comprises, in an environment in which communication is established with field equipment in a plant in accordance with an operation schedule to implement predetermined maintenance: a diagnosis database for retaining data collected by communication with the field equipment; and a diagnosis server with diagnosis applications installed to diagnose the field equipment by reference to the retained data. The apparatus is also provided with: an operation calendar generated and retained in accordance with the operation schedule; and a diagnosis manager for controlling the operation status of the diagnosis applications by reference to the operation calendar. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
