<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp for a vehicle capable of preventing flickering. <P>SOLUTION: The headlamp for the vehicle is provided with a reflector 3, a light source 2 arranged at a first focus F1 of the reflector 3, a shade 5 arranged so that its upper edge may be located near a second focus F2 of the reflector 3, and a projection lens 4 of a convex shape which transmits a portion other than that shielded by the shade 5 out of the reflection light from the reflector 3 and irradiates to the front. The front face 4f of the projection lens 4 is zoned into a plurality of annular segments 4s of concentric shape and each annular segment 4s is formed as a diffusion prism of cross-sectionally convex shape. Thereby, the outline (cut line CL) of an orientation pattern LP irradiated from the projection lens 4 is faded and is not overly distinctive to prevent flickering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
