<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an arsenic liquid where arsenic is directly leached into water from a material comprising a copper-arsenic compound in the form of an intermetallic compound without using special chemicals. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing an arsenic liquid, an oxidizer is added to slurry in which an arsenic-containing sulfide is suspended into water, stirring is performed, the leaching reaction of arsenic is progressed in the presence of simple substance sulfur or in the presence of S<SP>2-</SP>ions, and after the reaction, the slurry is subjected to solid-liquid separation, so as to recover the leaching solution. As a feeding material of the S<SP>2-</SP>ions, zinc sulfide (ZnS) can be used. The leaching reaction of arsenic is accompanied by the sulfurization of copper. The feed amount of sulfur is desirably controlled to 1 equivalence or above to the amount of copper in the arsenic compound-containing material.
