PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft pump device capable of reducing an installation space in a building and reducing facility cost while sufficiently securing straightening effect by a straightening plate arranged on a bent pipe. SOLUTION: In the vertical shaft pump device 100, an end part of a lifting pipe 9 is formed of the bent pipe 9c, the straightening plate 11 is arranged inside the bent pipe 9c, and a discharge pipe 10 is connected by a flange on a downstream side of the bent pipe 9c. The vertical shaft pump device 100 includes a discharge valve mechanism 5, which is provided with a valve element 5a for straightening an inside fluid by integrating with the straightening plate 11 in opening, and is arranged on the bent pipe 9c.
