PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for lifting an object to be removed lightly, efficiently, and inexpensively by a lifting means in the work for replacing a manhole cover and a manhole cover frame. SOLUTION: In this eccentric lifting method for the manhole cover frame or the bowl type object to be removed around the manhole cover frame position section, the bowl type objects 8a, 8b to be removed, obtained by cutting a road surface 3 around the manhole cover frame 2 into a bowl shape having a circular plane and arcuate or inclined cross section by turning by 360°around its central axis, are lifted while tilted by a lifting means from an eccentric position being apart from the center of the cut bowl type objects 8a, 8b to be removed.
