ALARM DEVICE FOR PREVENTING IMPROPER OPERATION OF ACCELERATOR OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive alarm device capable of allowing a senior person or a driver not familiar with an automobile to safely drive the automobile by eliminating any improper step-on operation of a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: A photoelectric sensor is arranged on the line connecting a conventional accelerator pedal of an automobile to a dashboard above the accelerator pedal. A caution is promoted to a driver by giving a sound alarm from a speaker provided on a center pillar close to an ear of the driver by signals from the sensor and on the shift position and the vehicle speed when a foot of the driver is placed on the accelerator pedal.
