PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation assisting system capable of achieving accurate parking operation assistance or safety confirmation assistance by performing display change control of an optimal monitor video image according to the operating situation when turning. SOLUTION: The operation assisting system is equipped with a monitor image data generation means for generating monitor image data displayed on a monitor 3 in a vehicle cabin from camera video image data of a rear camera 1 by view point conversion using a virtual camera 8 set at a position different from the rear camera 1 installed in the vehicle and a virtual projection plane set on a subject side displayed by the rear camera 1. The monitor image data generation means is for increasing the angle of view which is a range in which a lens of the virtual camera 8 can project on a virtual 3D CCD 9 as the degree of a steering wheel steering angleθsensed by a steering wheel steering angle sensor 4 increases from a neutral position when turning and traveling backward, and generating monitor image data displayed on the monitor 3 by view point conversion using the virtual camera 8, a virtual 3D screen 7, and the virtual 3D CCD 9, by view angle control.
