PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type exercise machine which minimizes generation of vibration and exerts large exercise effect by largely moving the human body. SOLUTION: The chair type exercise machine 1 converts rotary motion of an electric motor 4 fixed to a base portion 2 into eccentric rotary motion by a converting mechanism 5 to move a seat body 3. The converting mechanism 5 has a large pulley 10 as a rotary body, and an eccentric cylinder mounting portion 14 and an eccentric cylinder 15 as an eccentric body arranged eccentrically from the rotation axis A1 of the large pulley 10 and coupled with a receiving portion 20 of the seat body 3. Because the eccentric cylinder mounting portion 14 and the eccentric cylinder 15 are mounted on the large pulley 10 with an inclination to separate the center axis A2 of the mounting portion and the eccentric cylinder farther from the rotation axis A1 as nearer to the seat body 3, and therefore not only the human body can be largely moved relative to a radius of rotation of the seat body 3 but also generation of vibration can be minimized relative to the large movement of the human body.
