PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf in a simple structure for which a shelf member can be position-changed in a vertical direction without removing articles mounted on the shelf member. SOLUTION: A guide rail member is provided with a first rail surface and a second rail surface where an engaging step part is formed along the longitudinal direction facing the first rail surface. A projection body, an engaging body and an engaging part are provided on an elevating/lowering member side, a first support fulcrum is constituted of the first rail surface and the projection body abutting on it, and a second support fulcrum is constituted of the second rail surface and the engaging body abutting on it. When the article mounting shelf surface side of the elevating/lowering member is lifted in a direction opposite to the gravity direction, the engaging body is detached from the engaging step part. When the engaging body is detached from the engaging step part, the engaging part is brought into press-contact with the step part non-formed surface of the engaging step part. When the elevating/lowering member falls along the guide rail member due to the unlocking of the elevating/lowering member, the engaging part slid on the step part non-formed surface of the engaging step part and is engaged with a step part right under the step part non-formed surface to block the sudden fall of the elevating/lowering member.
