The adjusting device (1) has a stator (3) coupled with a drive device, and a rotor (5) fixedly connected with a camshaft (2). The stator is implemented based on type of an adjuster housing (4) that surrounds the rotor. The housing has a gear wheel (7) at its outer circumference and is limited in an axial direction of the adjusting device when viewed from closing covers (14, 15). The wheel and the housing that receives the rotor are made of a high-strength light metal alloy e.g. aluminum alloy having high silicon portion.
