PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional electric motor such as overheating due to continuous operation and difficult rotation due to stuck cutting chips which result from cutting chips generated when a hole is made in a work with a drill cutting edge adhere to the periphery of a rotating shaft or chuck and are left as they are without usage. SOLUTION: This electric motor has a ventilation passage therein, and gas passing through the ventilation passage cools the motor to prevent overheating and blows off cutting chips.
