<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical component for optical transmission by which a holder part which holds an optical transmission path such as an optical fiber and an optical function part such as a lens array are molded as a unit, and a separation or generation of bubble is not generated as far as the temperature of an adhesive filled between the optical function part and the end face of the optical transmission path stays within a range of the stored temperature of the optical component for optical transmission. <P>SOLUTION: An optical function array 22 and a fiber holder 23 are arranged separated by a space 32, the optical function array 22 furnished with a lens 31 and a lower side holder part 23b are molded as a unit of a transparent resin. A coated optical fiber 25 is mounted in a V-shaped groove 26 of the lower side holder part 23b, an upper side holder part 23a is placed on the lower side holder part 23b so as to project the end face of the coated optical fiber 25 to the space 32, and the space 32 is filled with the adhesive 35. When the linear expansion coefficient of the adhesive 35 is smaller (larger) than the linear expansion coefficient of a connection part 33 connecting the optical function array 22 and the lower side holder part 23b, the adhesive is hardened at an environment temperature higher than the upper limit value (lower than the lower limit value) of the stored temperature of the optical component for optical transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
