<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a golf club head in which a light-weight crown part can be provided without deteriorating durability, and in which the center of gravity can be provided in a lower position. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 is provided with a hollow part i inside. The golf club head 1 has a face 2 for hitting a ball, and the crown part 4 composed of metallic material so as to connect with an upper edge 2a of the face 2 and to form an upper face of the head. The crown part 4 has a thick part 8 and a thin part 9 that is thinner than the thick part 8.
