PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overhanging unit which enables the effective utilization of a space of an overhanging portion while providing the overhanging portion with outdoor equipment, and which is excellent in constructibility. SOLUTION: This overhanging unit is, for example, a balcony unit 30. Outdoor and indoor machines 68 and 69 of air-conditioning equipment as the outdoor equipment, main piping 72 for water supply and drainage, and unit-side branch piping 73 are incorporated into the balcony unit 30; and these are prebuilt in and integrated together. Thus, these pieces 68, 69, 72 and 73 of equipment are also installed concurrently with the assembly of the balcony unit 30 to a building body 11. Consequently, since only simple work such as piping connecting work is required on a construction site, working hours can be shortened, and the constructibility becomes excellent.
