Cosmetic compositions (I) containing a combination of active ingredients comprising palmitic, palmitoleic, stearic, oleic and linoleic acid, in which at least 50 wt.% of the mixture of these fatty acids and/or their glycerides must consist of palmitic, stearic and linoleic acids. An independent claim is included for a method for the treatment of keratinous fibres by applying (I) to the fibres, leaving it to act for between a few seconds and 45 minutes and then washing it off.
