The sensor (100) has an image sensor (108) that comprises a two dimensional arrangement of light sensors in an image level. The image sensor is designed to receive and output a temporal sequence of images of an external surface (104). An evaluation unit (110) is connected with the image sensor and is designed such that relative translation movement of the sensor (100) against the external surface and relative rotation movement of the sensor (100) against the external surface around an axis perpendicular to the image level are calculated by determining relationship between sequential images. An independent claim is also included for an utilization of a computer mouse sensor for manufacturing the translations-rotations-sensor.
