The present invention refers to a method of controlling a session for an OMA DM protocol for remotely managing a mobile terminal, which enables a DM server to process, in one session, a plurality of instructions requested at time intervals from the same DM client in the OMA DM protocol. The present invention provides a method for controlling a session between a server and a client which requests instructions at predetermined time intervals in an open mobile alliance device management (OMA DM) protocol, the method comprising the steps of: transmitting resultant data to the server in response to an instruction input from the server; receiving, by the client, a status code, which is a response to the resultant message, and a session message for maintaining a current session during a predetermined period of time, through the server; and maintaining the current session until receiving a new message from the server, in response to the received session message.
