A backlight assembly of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent a guide protrusion unit from being exposed to the surface of a reflection plate and prevent interference of the guide protrusion unit caused by thermal transform of the reflection plate. A support side fixes both ends of plural lamps. A diffusion plate and an optical sheet are configured in an upper part of the plural lamps. A reflection plate(120) is configured in a lower part of the plural lamps, and reflects leaked light. A cover bottom(110) is configured in a lower part of the reflection plate. In a central upper surface of the cover bottom, a guide protrusion unit(111) is formed for assembling of the reflection plate. A lamp guide(130) comprises the following parts. A horizontal plate(135) is parallel to an inner bottom of the cover bottom. A sheet support(131) is formed in an upper surface of the horizontal plate, and supports the optical sheet. Plural lamp holders(137) are formed in an upper surface of the horizontal plate. The lamps are installed In the plural lamp holders. A concave unit(139) is formed in a lower surface of the horizontal plate where the sheet support is formed. The guide protrusion unit of the cover bottom is located in the concave unit. At least one or more fixing protrusion(133) is connected to the lower surface of the horizontal plate. |
