A method and an apparatus for mutually-shared media experiences are provided to select imaginary party parameters so as to share personal media players and generate the synchronized real time play experience. A process is started(502). A user of a master device collects an imaginary party parameter(504). The user selects music to generate a play list or selects the preset play list of the master device(506). The user selects music in the play list as an option(508). The music in the play list is played when the user of the master device is on standby(510).
