METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INSTALLING A ROOT CERTIFICATE ON A COMPUTER WITH A ROOT UPDATE MECHANISM

The invention discloses a method of installing or updating a root certificate on a computer with a root update mechanism by sending a client computer at least one root certificate and a legacy certificate chain. This method can be used to enable extended validation certificates on a computer with a root update mechanism.
