<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of measuring more accurately the center position of a specimen. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing method for measuring the center position of the specimen whose contour shape is a circular shape in an image is described as follows: each position of a plurality of points constituting a contour portion of the specimen in the image is calculated (step S103); the center position and a radius of the specimen are calculated by performing circular approximation from each calculated position of the plurality of points (step S104); each distance from the center position of the specimen calculated by the circular approximation to the plurality of points, and a residual between the radius of the specimen calculated by the circular approximation are calculated respectively, and a point wherein the calculated residual is larger than a prescribed value is removed from the plurality of points (step S10); and the center position and the radius of the specimen are calculated by performing the circular approximation from each position of residual points after removal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
