<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a cost and power consumption are increased while rise and fall properties can be improved when it is a conventional method arranging drivers on the right and left sides of a data line. <P>SOLUTION: A data line drive circuit for driving an active matrix drive type display device includes a function for resetting data line application potential of a start point and an end point of each horizontal scanning period at an arbitrary reference voltage value positioned in the side of on potential of a switching element rather than black level potential of signal voltage.
