<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical adaptor with which an electromagnetic wave from an optical communication module is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical adaptor 100 is equipped with a housing 102, an optical fiber 106 contained in the housing 102, and a ferrule 104 contained in the housing 102. The housing 102 has a first end portion 102a to be inserted into a receptacle 22 of the optical communication module 20 and a second end portion 102b into which an optical connector plug 30 is inserted. The optical fiber 106 has a first end portion 106a to be optically coupled to the receptacle 22 and a second end portion 106b to be optically coupled to the optical connector plug 30. The ferrule 104 contains the optical fiber 106.
