<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press mold for molding a glass optical device which is easily and precisely processed without a release film and reducing the manufacturing cost, and a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A cutting part 18 has a single crystal diamond-made cutting tool 22. A control part controls the cutting part 18 so as to mirror-process a mold base material 2 comprising glassy carbon by ductility mode machining to form a molding surface 3.
