<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent that is flexible, keeps the length from shortening while expanding, can be re-taken in and repositioned, and a stent delivery system that carries the stent to a specified position, expands it at an accurate position and retains it there. <P>SOLUTION: The stent tube is longitudinally divided into a plurality of parts to form a cut pattern 11 in each division that longitudinally has zigzag repeated U-turn passes, which can radially expand when intervals between the U-turn passes enlarge. The stent is provided with an all connection member 12A to connect all U-turn parts together and a partial connection member 12B that connects only the 3 U-turn parts spaced with an equal distance from one another among many U-turn parts arranged over the stent outer circumference. In the stent delivery system with such a stent mounted, the provision of a pusher tube used to install the stent and also regulate its rear end position, and a take-in tip serving as a resistor to prevent the stent from movements enables the system to re-take in the stent's leading end part equipped with the all connection member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
