IMAGE CODING SYSTEM CONVERTING APPARATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image coding system converting apparatus which reduces an operation processing quantity greatly and also controls a deterioration of an image quality considerably.

SOLUTION: The image coding system converting apparatus sets a data converter 2 to convert a JPEG quantizing table parameter and a JPEG quantizing DCT coefficient extracted by a JPEG simplicity decoder 1 into an MPEG-2 quantizing table parameter and an MPEG-2 quantizing DCT coefficient and prepares an MPEG-2 stream from a header information extracted by the JPEG simplicity decoder 1 and from the MPEG-2 quantizing table parameter and the MPEG-2 quantizing DCT coefficient converted by the data converter 2.
