PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor holder capable of detecting a desired rotation speed while maintaining an air gap between an encoder and a rotation speed sensor for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The encoder 19 is made of a rubber magnet obtained by mixing a magnetic powder into an elastomer, and magnetized such that magnetic poles N, S are disposed alternately along the circumferential direction, whereby a rotary encoder for detecting a rotation speed of the wheel is made up. The rotation speed sensor 20 is equipped with a magnetic detecting element which changes its characteristic in response to a flow direction of magnetic fluxes. The sensor holder 10 is composed of a fitting ring 11 formed by applying a press working to a corrosion-resistant steel plate, and a holding part 12 which is made of an injection-moldable synthetic region and molded integrally with the fitting ring 11. The rotation speed sensor 20 is embedded in the holding part 12, and at least a surface of the fitting ring 11 contacting with the holding part 12 is subjected to a roughening process using a shot blast working, thereby setting its surface roughness Ra to be 0.8 or more.
