摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sonic wave sensor capable of visually confirming the contact state with respect to a measuring target, and to provide an apparatus for measuring viscoelasticity that is equipped with the sensor. SOLUTION: A light incident window 4a guides incident light to a joining part so that incident light L<SB>in</SB>is totally reflected by an air bubble BL, when the air bubble BL exists at the boundary of a delay member 4 and the measuring target SMP and is reflected in by a measuring target SMP, when there is no air bubble BL. An observation light L<SB>ob</SB>, formed in the region where the air bubble BL exists, substantially coincides with the incident light L<SB>in</SB>by fetching the incident light L<SB>in</SB>; while the image data of the measuring target SMP is contained in the observation light L<SB>ob</SB>, formed in a region where no air bubble BL exists. Accordingly, since significant difference is produced in the observation light L<SB>ob</SB>, corresponding to whether the enclosure BL exists, the contact state of the delay member 4 and the measuring target SMP can be confirmed visually.
