PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection adapter which is installed to avoid interference with a wall because of a large sliding range of the connection adapter, and in conformity to the position of an existing exhaust tube, and is easily constructed to impose only a small burden on mounting work. SOLUTION: This combustion apparatus has a combustion apparatus body, an exhaust port 2 installed on a chamber indoor side, and a chamber adapter for connecting the exhaust port to the exhaust tube. The chamber adapter has: a case for leading exhaust gas from the exhaust port 2 to the upper part of an outer sheath of the combustion apparatus body; a sliding body at the upper part of the case; and a cover for covering the upper part. The case is installed to have an opening A at the upper part and to locate the bottom face at the upper part of the outer sheath. The sliding body is longitudinally slidable at the upper part of the case, and has an opening B almost at the center part in a longitudinal direction.
