<p>To provide an eyeglasses frame having a characteristic similar to that of an eyeglasses frame formed of a natural material such as wood having high specific gravity, turtle shell, and ivory, and to provide an eyeglasses frame that can stably be supplied, an eyeglasses frame has a component formed of a wood softened and compressed in water vapor atmosphere at temperature and pressure higher than the atmospheric temperature and atmospheric pressure. The wood before the compression is preferred to have a specific gravity of less than or equal to 0.5. Further, the compressed wood can be set by heat in the atmosphere so as to have a final shape or a near final shape.</p> |
