[PROBLEMS] To provide an apparatus comprising a first reproduction means for performing reproduction according to the information stored in a storage medium, a second reproduction means for performing reproduction according to the information stored in a storage medium, and a single loading slot for inserting a storage medium to be reproduced by the first reproduction means and a storage medium to be reproduced by the second reproduction means and being so configured that the first reproduction means and the second reproduction means can simultaneously reproduce a different storage medium respectively, thereby enabling the surface space for installing the loading slot to be effectively used. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A recording medium reproducing apparatus comprises a first reproduction means for performing reproduction according to the information stored in a storage medium, a second reproduction means for performing a reproduction according to the information stored in a storage medium, and a single loading slot for inserting a storage medium to be reproduced by the first reproduction means and a storage medium to be reproduced by the second reproduction means. The apparatus is so configured that the first reproduction means and the second reproduction means can simultaneously reproduce a different storage medium.
