<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability and easy manufacturing of solar cell, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: An epitaxial layer, including a plurality of p-n junctions, is formed on the surface of a Ge substrate. Surface electrodes 5a, 5b are formed on the epitaxial layer. Next, by providing the predetermined mesa etching, there remain an epitaxial layer 3a that serves as the solar cell body and the epitaxial layer 3b that serves as a bypass diode. Next, after a support substrate is adhered and the Ge substrate is removed, a back surface electrode 15 is formed and the support substrate is detached. Among the back surface electrode 15, by bending the back surface electrode 15b of the bypass diode 9 to the back surface electrode 15a of the solar cell body 7, the back surface electrode 15b is superimposed on the back surface electrode 15a, and a compound solar cell 10 with the bypass diode 9, arranged on the back surface side of the solar cell body 7, is manufactured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
