<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of image quality caused by parasitic capacitance generated between a video signal line and a pixel electrode in a liquid crystal display, and to suppress reduction in a numerical aperture. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display provided with a display panel having a plurality of scanning signal lines, a plurality of video signal lines and a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed in a matrix form, the video signal line is electrically connected to a conductive parasitic capacitance adjusting layer disposed in the extending direction of the scanning signal line, when viewed from the video signal line and having a region superposed on the pixel electrode adjacent to the video signal line, in a plan view; and the pixel electrode has notched parts, wherein the region where the parasitic capacitance adjusting layer connected to the video signal line; and the pixel electrode are superimposed on each other is made narrow, if the distance between the video signal line and the pixel electrode is made short in a plan view and the region is made wide, if the distance is made long in a plan view. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
