PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lumber method of suitably handling a variety of lumber plans and an apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a pair of first cutting blades 11 and 11 horizontally facing each other, each pair of second cutting blades 12, 12, ... vertically facing each other and being horizontally installed in parallel, and each pair of twin screw circular saw blades 13, 13, ... horizontally facing each other. Each of the circular saw blades 13 and 13 is mounted on the front face of a column 21a of a first movable frame 21 on a common base frame 25. Each of first cutting blades 11 is mounted on a second movable frame 22 on the first movable frame 21.
