PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator coil of a motor for a submerged type pump, excellent in insulating performance even if it is used for a long time. SOLUTION: In the stator coil of the motor for the submerged type pump to be used in a liquefied gas, a coil in which a coil end portion of a coil formed by winding an insulated coil raw material are divided and each of them is taped for insulation is provided on a stator iron core having an open type slot arranged therein. With this configuration, even if insulative tape is applied to the coil end portion, one coil can be made smaller than a slot width of the open type slot by dividing the coil end portion, and thus, the coil can be easily housed. Thus, the stator coil of the motor for driving the submerged type pump excellent in workability and insulating performance even if it is used for a long time can be provided.
