摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the number of parts increases as a nozzle lift sensor is used for determining the existence of abnormality of the injection starting timing, when performing fuel injection control by operating a fuel injection valve of a compression ignition type internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In fuel cut control of a diesel engine 10, single fuel injection is performed in any cylinder, and torque generated in response to single injection is detected from an increase quantity of a rotating speed of a crankshaft at its time. The existence of the abnormality of the injection starting timing of the fuel injection valve 24, is determined based on a torque difference when respectively performing the single injection in a plurality of command injecting starting timings.
