摘要 Clutch slipping in clutch engagement operation when the mode of drive of a hybrid vehicle is shifted from a motor drive mode to a hybrid drive mode is reduced to decrease shock. The hybrid vehicle (10) has an internal combustion engine (12), an ISG motor (14) for engine starting, a main motor (26) for driving rear wheels, a CVT pulley belt (32) provided between an engine output shaft and front wheels, a clutch (16) provided between the output shaft of the engine and an input shaft (31) of a CVT, a battery (24), and a hybrid controller (50). When the vehicle travels only by the power of the main motor (26), if the hybrid controller determines that addition of driving force of the engine is necessary, the hybrid controller causes the engine (12) to be started by the ISG motor (14) with the clutch (16) disengaged, controls the speed ratio of the CVT so that CVT input speed is a target engagement speed, detects an engine speed, and detects a CVT input speed. Then, when the difference between the CVT input speed and the target engagement speed is within a predetermined range, the hybrid controller controls each element in order that the clutch (16) is engaged.
