A method and a system for generating a static shadow are provided to display a quality shadow of an object by developing a 3D(Three-Dimensional) virtual cube into a 2D virtual plane figure and check the density of a shadow formed on the virtual cube accurately. A first light source(110) projects the shadow of an object formed by irradiating light beams to the object, as a 3D virtual cube. A figure decomposing unit(120) develops the virtual cube into a 2D virtual plane figure. A coordinate recognizing unit(130) generates coordinate information on the virtual plane figure with respect to the projected shadow. A graphic processing unit(140) performs rendering on the projected shadow to implement the shadow as a shadow image. An illumination measurement unit(150) determines a darkness degree of the implemented shadow image and discriminates a shadow image of a darkness degree that satisfies a predetermined level. A shadow determining unit(160) determines the discriminated shadow image as a visible shadow at a corresponding point, and reflects the determined visible shadow when the shadow of the object is processed. |
