A connector for a discharge tube is provided to be easily assembled to the discharge tube without damaging the discharge tube. A connector for a discharge tube includes a coupling unit(6a). The coupling unit is mounted on an end of the discharge tube and includes a locking surface part(7), a protrusion(9), and a conductive connection part(8). The locking surface part locks a light emitting portion of the discharge tube. The protrusion is protruded from the locking surface part along an end electrode. The conductive connection part is formed on the protrusion to electrically connect the end electrode and a substrate electrode as a conductive contact surface(8a) is in contact with the end electrode and the other conductive contact surface is in contact with the substrate electrode. |
