An LCD device is provided to protect the surrounding circuit of a first substrate by a dummy line or a protection resistor even when static electricity enters into the first substrate, thereby improving resistance to the static electricity. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device has a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a pixel electrode, a surrounding circuit(150), and a dummy line(168). The surrounding circuit and the dummy line are installed in the outside of a pixel area in which the pixel electrode is arranged. The second substrate interposes liquid crystal to be opposite the first substrate, and includes a transparent conductive film formed in the other side of the liquid crystal. The dummy line is positioned in the more outer side of the substrates than the surrounding circuit, is installed independently of the surrounding circuit, and is grounded in the outside of the first substrate. |
