PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system capable of further enhancing the emission control of NOx by further clearing EM.

SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control system 1 arranged in an exhaust system of an engine 3 is provided with: an emission control part 16 having a catalyst function executing the emission control of NOx according to an air-fuel ratio of an exhaust gas, and an air-fuel ratio control means 2 adjusting the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas supplied to the emission control part 16. The air-fuel ratio control part 2 executes the emission control of the exhaust gas by setting exhaust gas A/F near stoichiometry or rich by lowering an intake air amount in an air-fuel mixture.
