摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional switch which eliminates the need for a diode to be connected in series and has low on-resistance and a small power loss. <P>SOLUTION: The bidirectional switch includes a first FET 11, a second FET 12, and a switch control unit 21 which controls a conduction state wherein currents from a bidirectional power source electrically connected between drain terminals flow in two directions and a cutoff state wherein the currents do not flow. The switch control unit 21 applies a voltage higher than a threshold voltage based upon potential at a node 13 to which a source terminal of the first FET 11 and a source terminal of the second FET 12 are connected to gate terminals of the first FET 11 and the second FET 12 in the conduction state, and applies a voltage equal to or lower than the threshold voltage based upon the potential at the node 13 in the cutoff state while electrically insulating the bidirectional power source and the gate terminals from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
