<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a synthetic fiber rope having increased sensitivity for monitoring the durable period of the rope. <P>SOLUTION: The reactive behavior of a strand having a nominal fiber fineness or a nominal yarn fineness must be sufficiently adjustable so that the economic potential of a new lifting means can be completely derived by using a synthetic fiber rope until just before it is broken or that the user can set the sensitivity for detecting the state of the wear of the rope according to the requirements of the user. The nominal fiber fineness of the strand loses the conductivity of the fiber with high probability, and detects the wear of a cable. The matrix of the strand having a nominal fiber fineness or at least one nominal yarn fineness merely has a frictional resistance smaller than that of the matrix of the other strands. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
