PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for embedding information on a sound signal and a device for extracting information from the sound signal by which the erroneous detection of embedded information can be more reduced at an extraction side. SOLUTION: After a bit arrangement creation means 70 adds an error detection bit (an eighth bit) (a), and adds bits in which first to seventh bits are reversed and the eighth bit is copied (b), to additional information to be embedded. Then, sixteen bits arrangement is formed by exchanging adjoining even bits and odd bits in each bit order of the first reversed bit to the eighth copied bit (c). One bit each is read from the sixteen bits and a state of a predetermined frequency of a sound frame is changed according to a bit value.
