PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of preventing deterioration of an optical reception sensitivity of the optical module by inhibiting a stray light of a laser light source from sneaking into a light receptor in a package. SOLUTION: An optical module 10 at least includes a laser light source 20, a light branch means 24 through which a part of a laser beam emitted from the light source 20 passes and which branches the other part of the laser beam, a light receptor 30P which receives another part of the laser beam branched by the light branch means 24, and a package 11 into which the light source 20, the light branch means 24 and the light receptor 30P are accommodated. A stray light reducing means 200, 201, 202 are disposed in the package 11 for reducing the stray light generated in the package. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
