PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for magnetic annealing of a magnetic metal material, which can thinly and uniformly form an insulation film of a metal oxide powder having superior insulation properties on the surface of a ribbon of an alloy such as permalloy, while reducing a production cost by decreasing the number of processes. SOLUTION: The method for magnetic annealing the magnetic metal material comprises: a step ST3 of degreasing and cleaning a stamped ribbon, layered parts or the like made from various magnetic metal materials such as an Fe-based alloy and an Ni-Fe based alloy, with a silicone oil; and a step ST4 of heating the stamped ribbon or the layered parts at a low temperature in a state of leaving the silicone oil on the surface of the ribbon material or among the layers, and then, annealing them at a high temperature in an atmosphere containing a small quantity of oxygen.
