PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent composition which is a silicone-based water-repellent composition, can impart water repellency and water repellency persistence, has rapid drying properties, and leaves little residual odor. SOLUTION: The water-repellent composition comprises a polyorganosiloxane (A) alkoxy-blocked at both ends, a metal alkoxide and/or a condensate of a partial hydrolyzate thereof (B), a 3-6C paraffinic hydrocarbon (C), and a 2-4C monohydric alcohol (D).
