PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic having both of smoothness and tenseness-stiffness feeling without stiffening the hair after drying, imparting non-conventional finish feeling to the hair, preventing flaking, excellent in stability with time and being a type rinsing after using. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) an anionic surfactant, (B) an amphoteric surfactant, (C) a water-soluble copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone (VP) with vinyl acetate (VA) in which the monomer ratio [VP(mol)/VA(mol)] is 60/40 to 99/1 and (D) a silicone compound, and the hair cosmetic is a type rinsing after using.
