PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a method for producing a ceramic member to be joined, in which a metallized layer is formed to have satisfactory joining strength even when fired at low temperature and to provide the ceramic member to be joined, a joined body, a vacuum switch and a vacuum vessel. SOLUTION: The method for producing the ceramic member 1 to be joined which has the metallized layer 11 to be used when joined to a metallic member 3 comprises the steps of: mixing an organic binder with a mixture containing 70-97 wt.% high melting point metal powder of W and/or Mo, 1-10 wt.% Ni powder, 5-10 wt.% Mn powder, 0.5-2 wt.% Ti powder and/or TiH<SB>2</SB>powder and 2-15 wt.% SiO<SB>2</SB>powder; forming paste from the obtained mixture; producing metallizing ink from the formed paste; applying the metallizing ink to a ceramic base material 9 being a ceramic fired body; and baking the applied metallizing ink to form the metallized layer 11.
